Mask your Aadhaar before you share it.

Drag a box over the first 8 digits of your Aadhaar number — or anything else you want hidden — and download a masked copy. UIDAI recommends sharing a masked Aadhaar, and most exams accept it as ID proof. Done entirely in your browser; your Aadhaar is never uploaded.

Why mask your Aadhaar

A masked Aadhaar hides the first eight digits and shows only the last four, which is enough to act as identity proof while protecting your full number. UIDAI itself promotes masked Aadhaar for exactly this reason. When a form asks for an ID copy and you don’t want your full number floating around a portal, upload a masked version.

Why doing it in the browser matters

Most “mask Aadhaar” websites ask you to upload your Aadhaar to their server — the opposite of safe. CorrectForm masks the image on your own device using the HTML Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or logged; you can confirm it in your browser’s DevTools → Network tab.
